Kathmandu - Chitwan - Pokhara

Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal. Also known as 'Kantipur', it is the largest city in Nepal. The word "Kathmandu" is derived from the Sanskrit word, "Kastha Mandap" which means "temple of wood".

The valley was inhabited in 900BC. The area, which was a lake earlier, was cut open a hill allowing the water to flow and thus made it a habitable place. The Kirats were the first rulers of the Kathmandu Valley. The Licchavi Dynasty ruled the city afterwards. From the 12th century to 17th century, the Malla Dynasty ruled Kathmandu, which was then taken over by the Shah Dynasty who turned it into Nepal. As a capital it is now home to most of the embassies, businesses and the palaces.

Hotels: Kathmandu hotels that serve traditional dishes are the main hang out of the residents. The city also offers many quality hotels with outstanding services. The district of Chitwan is situated in the foothills of Nepal and still remains in peace as a residue of the Terai region. Rautahat is also a district of the zone of Narayani. The headquarters of this district is Gaur. Rautahat had a population of 545,132 as recorded in the year 2001 census. The Parsa district of the Narayani Zone has Birganj as its head quarters. The district of Parsa has the population of 497,219 as recorded in the year 20041 census and the district has the area of 1,353 square kilometers.

Day 01: Kathmandu-Airport
Prior to landing in Tribhuvan International Airport at Kathmandu you could have some excellent views of snow capped mountains after custom clearance, meet with our tour coordinator and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel Vailshali or Similar in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu -Sightseeing
Early morning After breakfast, break the day with an extensive pilgrimage tour, the first visit is made at Pashupatinath Temple - the most scared of the Hindu temples in Nepal dedicating to Lord Shiva. The next visit, we lead you to Patan - the second largest town in the Kathmandu Valley, which means "City of Beauty" featuring with its long Buddhist history.

Day 03: Kathmandu - Chitwan
Early morning After breakfast, drive to Kathmandu to Chitwan National Park. Transfer to resort. Our program manager give you briefing about Safari activities;2night/3 days.

Day 04: Explore-Chitwan
Early morning after Breakfast, the next, you get a full day safari activities in Royal Chitwan national Park - if you are lucky, you will see many amazing creatures that you spend most time to looking for; rhinoceroses, Chitwan's royal Bengal tigers, leopards, monkeys, many types of deer and reptiles. Check your camera gear - preferably with a telephoto lens and you will not miss any shots. Stay overnight.

Day 05: Chitwan Pokhara
Early morning after breakfast drive to Pokhara, all the way through scenic mountain terrain, its fame rests on the natural beauty of its lakeside location and its proximity to the mountains. Pokhara is the starting point for some of the most famous treks in Nepal, and there are also plenty of short walks and day trips, that can be made around the valley. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 06: Explore-Pokhara
Early morning After breakfast, a full day sightseeing of Pokhara, the most popular destination in Nepal after Kathmandu, spend enjoyably the morning trip along the bank of Phewa Lake, you can admire the stunning view of the Fish Tail's Peak reflected in the silver surface of the water. You can also see the wonderful Annapurna panorama forms a superb backdrop to Pokhara from the lake. Aside from Phewa Lake, we keep visiting the Seti River gorge - one of the best places to see. You will have an opportunity to take a glimpse to the limestone cave of Mahindra Gufa, used to be well-known for its stalactites. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 07: Pokhara - Kathmandu
Early morning After breakfast, start the trip of day with driving back to Kathmandu (5 hours) or taking a morning flight. A welcome back dinner followed by Nepali cultural program. Stay overnight.
